ABOUT
Fay lives in the UK with her husband, two Labradoodles and, when they’re home from Uni, two sons. She splits her time between the quiet green countryside of Oxfordshire and the beautiful open skies of the Cornish coast.
Fay studied Printed Textile Design at the amazing Central St Martin’s School of Art and Design in London and worked for many years as a textile designer in the studio teams of places like Designers Guild and Diane Harrison Designs. Having transitioned to a freelance designer, Fay now enjoys designing from her garden studio or an old fishing cottage. Rarely seen without a paint brush in her hair, or one of her canine studio assistants by her feet, Fay has a traditional design approach. She paints artwork by hand, using pretty much anything from gouache, watercolour, inks, acrylics to coloured pencils, before using digital tools to finish things off, retaining a strong hand drawn feel.
Fay is constantly inspired by her daily dog walks, along the river banks and the Cornish coast, spotting the beauty of nature that can be hidden all around us. A perfect day out for Fay would be rummaging around a few local junk shops, a garden centre or two, and then a visit to a beautiful gallery with a stop off at Antropologie on the way home.
