ABOUT
Sarah Alexander’s love of whimsy and her creative spirit were born from a childhood of Wyoming cabin weekends and an eclectic elementary+middle school, located on the campus of the University of Wyoming, where she learned to tie flies and where her sense of artistic freedom was fostered within the school’s art room walls.
Most of grownup Sarah’s art is a love note to her family. Sarah loves to create magical installations using unexpected materials, things we often take for granted, to bring people delight. She is a believer in celebrating everything and nothing, and always spending an exorbitant amount of money on candles to hold these celebrations of the people she loves.
She is madly in love with husband, Ringo, and has been from the moment she met and married him nearly a quarter of a century ago. The pair spends their time working on their Maryland farmhouse and making art together. Topping their list as their two best pieces of creative work (and Sarah’s muses) are the couple’s two children, Claire and Tate, of whom both parents have been sold out for from their beginnings.
